The ACC-16V-DTAP is designed to charge compatible 4-cell-series (4S) lithium-ion batteries with nominal voltages of 14.4V or 14.8V.
A standard 4S lithium-ion battery reaches a maximum charging voltage of 16.8V when fully charged.
This charger provides a maximum charging voltage of 16.8V and a maximum charging current of 1.8A.
During normal lithium-ion charging, charging current is controlled to stay within the charger's rated limit. As the battery approaches full charge, the charging current decreases during the final constant-voltage stage.
This charging behavior differs from an ordinary fixed-voltage AC power adapter, which is not necessarily designed to control the charging current of a lithium-ion battery.
Battery Safety Notice:
Do not use this charger with 3S (12.6V maximum), 5S (21V maximum), 6S (25.2V maximum), LiFePO4, lead-acid or other batteries requiring a different charging profile.
