Convert 24V Battery Power to Standard AC Power
Many battery systems provide DC power, while laptops, chargers, electronic
equipment and other devices are designed to operate from a standard AC outlet.
The DAS24300-TW converts 20V–30V DC input power into 110V AC power,
allowing compatible AC-powered equipment to operate from a suitable 24V battery.
You can connect your device's normal AC adapter or power cord directly to one
of the inverter's AC outlets, provided the device's power requirements are
within the inverter's operating capability.
Dual AC Outlets + USB Power
The front panel provides two standard U.S.-style AC outlets
for compatible AC-powered devices. A separate USB-A 5V/2A port
provides convenient USB power for compatible USB-powered electronics.
The front panel also includes an ON/OFF switch and
POWER / FAULT status indicators for convenient operation
and monitoring.
Clean Pure Sine Wave AC Output
The DAS24300-TW produces true pure sine wave AC power.
A pure sine waveform more closely resembles the AC waveform supplied by
standard utility power than the stepped waveform produced by many
modified-sine-wave inverters.
Pure sine wave output is especially useful for equipment that may be sensitive
to AC waveform quality, including certain power adapters, chargers,
audio/video equipment, electronic controls and other sensitive electronics.
Designed for 24V Battery Systems
The inverter is designed for a nominal 24V battery system
and accepts approximately 20V to 30V DC input.
This wide input range makes it suitable for many compatible
24V lead-acid battery systems as well as rechargeable
lithium-ion battery systems with approximately 24V or 25.2V nominal voltage,
provided the battery's actual operating voltage remains within the inverter's
specified 20V–30V input range.
Important – Verify Input Polarity Before Connection
Connect the battery positive (+) terminal to the inverter's positive (+)
input and the battery negative (–) terminal to the inverter's negative (–)
input. Always verify both battery voltage and polarity before connecting
the inverter.
Temperature-Controlled Smart Cooling Fan
The inverter uses a temperature-controlled cooling fan.
The fan does not need to run continuously. It automatically turns on when
additional cooling is required and turns off again after the inverter
temperature decreases.
This helps reduce unnecessary fan operation while still providing cooling
when the inverter is operating under higher thermal loads.
Installation Tip:
Always leave adequate open space around the inverter, particularly around
the cooling fan and ventilation openings. Do not cover the inverter while
it is operating.
Compact and Portable Design
The compact aluminum-alloy housing makes this inverter convenient for
portable applications as well as permanent installations where space is limited.
Integrated mounting flanges provide multiple mounting points.
Compact Dimensions and Mounting
The inverter body is approximately
180 × 110 × 55 mm (7.2 × 4.3 × 2.2 inches).
The mounting flanges extend beyond the main enclosure and provide convenient
mounting points for fixed installations.
Battery Power Requirements
The inverter does not generate electrical energy. It converts DC energy
supplied by the connected battery into AC power. Therefore, the amount of
AC power available depends on both the inverter and the output capability
of the battery.
The inverter has a rated output of 300W. Because some energy
is lost during DC-to-AC conversion, the battery must provide more than
300W of DC power for the inverter to deliver a full 300W AC load.
At approximately 85% conversion efficiency, a full 300W AC load may require
roughly 350W or more from the battery.
Important:
Make sure your battery, battery management system (BMS), wiring and connectors
are capable of safely supplying the current required by your AC load.
A battery with insufficient output capability can limit the inverter's
available AC output.
Typical Applications
When connected to an appropriate 24V battery, the DAS24300-TW can provide
portable AC power for many compatible lower-power devices, such as:
- Laptop and notebook AC adapters
- Battery chargers
- Small electronic equipment
- Audio/video equipment
- Communication equipment
- Test and measurement equipment
- Portable electronics
- USB-powered devices
- Other compatible AC devices within the inverter's power capability
Check Both Running Power and Startup Power
Important:
Some AC devices require substantially more power during startup than during
normal operation.
Equipment containing motors, pumps or compressors can have a startup or
surge requirement several times greater than its normal running wattage.
Therefore, a device rated below 300W during normal operation may still
require an inverter with considerably more than 300W capacity.
Before connecting this type of equipment, check both its
continuous operating wattage and startup/surge requirement.
Examples can include refrigerators, pumps, compressors, vacuum cleaners
and other motor-driven equipment.
