Why Choose a Separate Battery and Inverter?
The modular XP2500 is designed for customers who value serviceability, flexible runtime and easier handling. Rather than permanently combining the battery and inverter in one enclosure, the XP2500 keeps them separate.
Replace the Battery, Keep the Inverter
Rechargeable batteries gradually lose capacity. Replace the battery independently when needed, while continuing to use a working inverter.
Replace or Upgrade the Inverter
If an inverter needs service, the battery does not automatically need replacement. A different inverter may be used only when its input voltage, current, surge and wiring requirements are compatible.
Extend Runtime with Spare Batteries
Keep additional compatible batteries charged and swap them one at a time. You can extend total operating time without purchasing another inverter for each battery.
Easier to Carry in Two Pieces
The battery weighs about 18.7 lb and the inverter about 4.4 lb. Carrying each separately can be more manageable than lifting one combined unit. This does not necessarily reduce total system weight.
Flexible Cooling and Placement
Inverters produce heat. Separate housings allow better freedom to place the inverter where airflow is adequate, reducing unnecessary exposure of the battery to inverter heat. Always follow ventilation requirements.
Potentially Lower Ownership Cost
Replacing only a worn or failed component can cost less than replacing an entire power station, depending on parts availability and repair costs.
Simpler Troubleshooting
Separate battery, charger, inverter and cables can be inspected independently by qualified personnel, making faults easier to isolate.
Reduce Electronic Waste
Keep functional parts in use rather than discarding a complete unit when one component wears out.
Flexible Installation
Place components in suitable locations with properly sized, protected DC cables; keep DC cable runs short to limit voltage drop and heating.
Useful for Backup Planning
Maintain a charged replacement battery as a reserve, then safely swap it when the installed battery is depleted.
Modular vs. Typical All-in-One Power Stations
| Feature | XP2500 Modular Design | Typical Integrated Design |
| Battery replacement | Separate replacement battery | May require internal repair or replacement |
| Inverter replacement | Separate replacement inverter | Often requires internal servicing |
| Extra battery runtime | Swap compatible batteries sequentially | Depends on expansion features |
| Carrying | Carry battery and inverter separately | Usually carry the whole unit |
| Cooling | Separate placement and ventilation | Shared enclosure, designed cooling |
| Maintenance | Independent component testing | Depends on serviceability |
| Setup | Connect battery and inverter cables | Usually fewer connections |
Integrated products vary; some have replaceable batteries and expansion options. Modular construction does not guarantee lower total weight, better efficiency or longer battery life.
Quick Battery-to-Inverter Connections
EC5 connector cables provide a convenient connection method. Use properly rated, polarity-matched assemblies. Turn the inverter off before connecting or disconnecting the battery, and never disconnect under load.

Battery connection warning: The HL2454B battery is for independent use only. Never directly connect two or more HL2454B batteries in series or parallel. Extra batteries are intended for separate, sequential use. Incorrect polarity, short circuits or undersized cables can cause damage, overheating or fire.
HL2454B 1774Wh Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery
The included BX-HL2454B battery provides 1774Wh of rated energy (70.4Ah at 25.2V nominal) in a portable enclosure with a carrying handle. The battery includes cell balancing and protection against overcharge, over-discharge, overcurrent and temperature extremes.

Charge-port warning: Charge the battery through its dedicated charge port only. Do not charge through the battery output terminals. Use a compatible lithium-ion battery charger that controls charging voltage and current; do not substitute an ordinary laptop power adapter.
Battery Safety Guard BagFor additional protection during transportation, charging, or storage, the BiXPower SH54 Battery Safety Guard Bag is included with package now.
The bag uses silicone-coated fiberglass fabric designed for heat resistance and water resistance. It may help provide an additional protective barrier but cannot eliminate the risk of battery fire, thermal runaway, or other battery hazards.

Battery Output Voltage Changes with Charge Level
The battery output is not a constant 24V DC. Voltage varies with state of charge, from approximately 29.4V fully charged toward a 21V discharge cutoff. The inverter converts this varying battery voltage into AC output.
1000W Pure Sine Wave AC Inverter
The included inverter converts battery DC power to 110V AC power. Its pure sine wave output is generally suitable for many compatible electronics, chargers and appliances that perform better with a smooth AC waveform than with a modified sine wave. Always verify device input voltage, continuous wattage and startup surge requirements.

Pure Sine Wave vs. Modified Sine Wave
Pure sine wave output can reduce buzzing, electrical interference and compatibility issues in some motors, audio equipment, variable-speed tools, chargers and sensitive electronics. It does not guarantee compatibility with every device or improve efficiency in every application.

| AC output | 110V AC |
| Waveform | Pure sine wave |
| Approximate dimensions | 11 × 5.2 × 3.3 inches |

Estimated AC Runtime
Actual runtime varies with inverter efficiency, idle draw, battery condition, ambient temperature and equipment load. The estimates below use 1774Wh of battery energy and an illustrative 85% overall energy-delivery factor. These are estimates, not guaranteed performance figures.
| Average AC Load | Illustrative Runtime |
| 50W | About 30.2 hours |
| 100W | About 15.1 hours |
| 200W | About 7.5 hours |
| 300W | About 5.0 hours |
| 500W | About 3.0 hours |
| 800W | About 1.9 hours |
| 1000W | About 1.5 hours |
Calculation: 1774Wh × 0.85 ÷ average load in watts. At very low loads, inverter idle consumption can shorten runtime significantly. At high loads, battery protection and inverter limits can affect available power.
