The compact 90-degree design helps reduce the amount of space required around
the device's DC power input and provides a convenient way to adapt an existing
compatible power cable without replacing the complete cable or power source.
5.5 × 2.5mm Female Power Input
The power-source side of the CNT-C32A is a
5.5 × 2.5mm female DC jack. It is designed to plug onto
a compatible 5.5 × 2.5mm male DC power connector.
This makes the connector useful with many compatible BiXPower rechargeable
battery packs, DC power adapters, and power cables that provide a
5.5 × 2.5mm male output connector.
How to Connect the CNT-C32A
Insert a compatible 5.5 × 2.5mm male power connector
into the female jack on the CNT-C32A. The other side of the connector then
provides the 4.5 × 3.0mm center-pin male plug for your
compatible device.
Important:
The 5.5 × 2.5mm side of this connector is female.
It requires a 5.5 × 2.5mm male connector from your
battery, power adapter, or DC power cable.
Important: This Connector Does Not Convert Voltage
The CNT-C32A is a connector adapter only.
It does not contain electronics to increase, decrease, or regulate voltage.
Before connecting your equipment, make sure the output
voltage, polarity, and available current from your battery
or power adapter are compatible with the device you want to power.
Compatibility with Dell Laptop Computers
The 4.5mm center-pin connector style is used by many laptop computers,
including a number of Dell models. However,
connector size alone does not guarantee compatibility.
Some Dell computers can identify the connected AC adapter. When powered by
a third-party power source or external battery, certain models may display
an AC adapter identification or power warning even when the connector and
electrical output are otherwise compatible.

Confirm your device's connector dimensions, required voltage, polarity,
and power requirements. Do not select a connector based only on the
computer brand or physical appearance of the plug.
Using an Older 7.4mm Dell-Style Power Connector
If your existing compatible power source has a
7.4 × 5.0mm round male connector with center pin,
a compatible BiXPower X75 adapter can first convert that connection to a
5.5 × 2.5mm male connector. The CNT-C32A can then be
connected to provide the smaller 4.5mm center-pin connector.
The X75 adapter is a separate accessory unless specifically included with
the product configuration being purchased.
