10V–32V DC to USB-C PD 100W Power Converter
12V / 24V DC Input • USB-C Power Delivery • Up to 100W Output
The BiXPower BX-DD100PD converts regular
10V–32V DC power into intelligent USB Type-C Power Delivery (PD) power.
It provides a convenient and efficient way to power or charge compatible USB-C
devices directly from batteries, vehicles, RV electrical systems, portable
power systems, and other 12V or 24V DC power sources.
With USB-C PD output up to 100W (20V / 5A), this compact
DC-to-USB-C converter can power many compatible USB-C laptops, tablets,
phones, and other PD devices without requiring a conventional AC inverter
and AC power adapter.
Important: DC Input → USB-C PD Output
This converter converts regular DC power into USB-C PD power.
It does not convert USB-C power into regular DC power.

Compact Size — Up to 100W USB-C PD Output
The BX-DD100PD provides substantial USB-C charging power from a compact
converter. The converter body measures approximately
78 × 36 × 24 mm (3.2 × 1.4 × 1 inch) and weighs approximately
180 g (6.5 oz).
Intelligent USB-C Power Delivery
USB Power Delivery allows a compatible USB-C device and the power source
to communicate and select an appropriate supported voltage. The BX-DD100PD
supports 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V and 20V. The connected USB-C PD
device determines which supported voltage it requests.

USB-C Compatibility Note:
Having a USB-C connector does not necessarily mean that a device supports
USB-C Power Delivery. The connected device must support a compatible USB-C
PD profile. Please check your device specifications before use.
Use USB-C Devices with Compatible DC Batteries
The BX-DD100PD can turn a compatible regular DC battery output into
USB-C Power Delivery. This is especially useful when your battery provides
standard DC output but your laptop, tablet, phone or other device requires
USB-C PD power.
5.5 × 2.5mm Female DC Input
The converter uses a 5.5mm outer diameter × 2.5mm inner diameter
female DC input jack. A compatible 5.5 × 2.5mm male DC plug can
connect directly to the converter.
Optional Adapter for 5.5 × 2.1mm Power Plugs
A 5.5 × 2.1mm male plug will not fit directly into the
converter's 5.5 × 2.5mm female input. If your battery or DC power source
uses a 5.5 × 2.1mm male output plug, select the optional
BiXPower CNT-X3 adapter.
The X3 adapter plugs into the BX-DD100PD input and changes the input
connection to accept a 5.5 × 2.1mm male DC plug.
Flexible DC Input Connection Options
Depending on your DC power source, the BX-DD100PD can be connected in
several different ways.
1. Direct 5.5 × 2.5mm DC Plug Connection
If your battery or DC power source already has a
5.5 × 2.5mm male DC plug, simply connect it directly to
the converter's female input.
2. Connect Through the Optional Input Cable
The optional input cable provides additional flexibility when connecting
the BX-DD100PD to batteries, DC electrical systems and other DC power sources.
3. Direct-Wire Connection
For custom installations, the connector on the optional input cable may
be removed and the two wires connected directly to a suitable DC power source.
IMPORTANT — Observe Correct Polarity
Red / Positive (+) → Power Source Positive (+)
Black / Negative (−) → Power Source Negative (−)
Reversing polarity may damage the converter and/or connected equipment.
Always verify the input voltage and polarity before applying power.
Use with 12V / 24V Vehicle Power
An optional cigarette-lighter input adapter allows the BX-DD100PD to
connect to a compatible 12V or 24V vehicle power socket.
This provides a convenient way to power compatible USB-C PD laptops and
other devices from a car, truck, RV or other vehicle.
Your DC Power Source Must Provide Enough Power
The BX-DD100PD cannot provide more power than it receives from the DC
power source. For high-power USB-C operation, your battery or DC power
source must provide sufficient voltage, current and total wattage.
For approximately 100W USB-C output, the DC power source
should be capable of supplying approximately 110–120W or more
to allow for normal power-conversion losses.
Important — Input Current & Full 100W Output
The input barrel connector can handle up to approximately
8A for short periods. For continuous operation,
6A or less is recommended.
For full 100W output, a higher-voltage DC input source,
such as 18V–30V, is recommended.
Lower input voltage requires higher input current to produce the same
output power. When using a lower-voltage source such as 12V
for high-power applications, monitor the input connection. If the input
connector becomes excessively hot, stop using it and use
a converter/input connection designed for higher current, such as an
appropriately rated direct-wire or cigarette-lighter connection.
Why Higher Input Voltage Is Better for High-Power Applications
This converter accepts a wide input-voltage range of
10V–32V DC. For higher-power applications, using a higher
input voltage is recommended whenever possible.
A lower input voltage requires more input current to produce the same
output wattage. For example, producing close to 100W from a 12V source
requires considerably more current than producing the same output from
a 24V source. Higher current can create more heat at connectors and wiring.

A More Direct Way to Get USB-C Power from a DC Source
When your available power source is already DC, the BX-DD100PD provides
a direct way to obtain USB-C PD power. This can eliminate the need to
first convert battery power to 120V AC with an inverter and then convert
the AC power back to DC through a laptop AC adapter.
This makes the BX-DD100PD particularly useful for
battery-powered, vehicle, RV, portable and off-grid applications.
One-Year Limited Warranty
The BiXPower BX-DD100PD includes a
one-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects.
Turn 12V or 24V DC Power into USB-C PD Power
With its wide 10V–32V DC input, intelligent USB-C Power
Delivery support, multiple PD voltage profiles and output up to
100W, the BiXPower BX-DD100PD is a compact solution for
powering compatible USB-C laptops and other PD devices directly from
batteries, vehicles, RV electrical systems and other DC power sources.
For batteries and other DC power sources that do not already have a
compatible 5.5 × 2.5mm output plug, you can use our optional CAB-S2 DC Power Cable.
For custom installations, the connector on the optional input cable
may be removed so the two
16AWG wires can be connected
directly to a suitable DC power source.
The two bare 16AWG wires can handle higher input current more effectively
than a small barrel-connector connection, making this type of connection
useful for higher-power applications.
