A regular DC converter efficiency is around 80% ~ 85%, which means 15% ~ 20% power will be used by the converter itself. For a 85% efficiency rate power adapter to deliver 90W power, it will take 106W power from a power source ( such as a battery). This DC Converter's efficiency rate is up to 96%, which means only around 4% power will be used by the converter itself. To deliver 90W power, it only needs 94W power from a power source.

Two ways to use the converter:

1. If your battery or other DC power source has a output cable with 5.5 x 2.5mm male connector, you can directly plug it to 5.5 x 2.5mm female input port on converter. 5.5 x 2.5mm is a very popular connector size. If you have a battery with multi connectors, most likely, one of the connectors is 5.5 x 2.5mm. Find correct connector that could fit into the converter input port tightly and steady.

Battery Not included

Please note that the converter input port size is 5.5 x 2.5mm. Some battery output cable connector size may be 5.5 x 2.1mm. In this case, it will Not fit converter input port. You can use a BiXPower CNT-X3 connector (optional, not included with package, need to purchase separately) to change the Input port size from 5.5 x 2.5mm to 5.5 x 2.1mm.

2. .. If your battery or other DC power source has a car cigarette socket as power output port, you may use enclosed Cigarette Plug and Input cable together to make connection.
