How to Use the BP220 Battery with a ResMed AirSense 11

Step 1 — Charge the Battery

Charge the BP220 before use. The package includes both an AC charger and a 12V DC car charger. Connect either charger to the battery's IN charging port.

The AC charger can be used with a compatible 100–240V AC power source. The included car charger allows charging from a standard 12V vehicle cigarette-lighter/accessory socket.

Step 2 — Set the Battery Output to 15V

Before connecting the AirSense 11 converter, set the BP220 battery's selectable output voltage to 15V.

Step 3 — Connect the 24V AirSense 11 DC Converter

Connect the included 24V DC converter to the BP220 battery output. The converter accepts the battery's DC power and provides the 24V output required for the compatible ResMed AirSense 11 CPAP machine.

Step 4 — Connect to the AirSense 11

Connect the converter's AirSense 11 power connector to the CPAP machine. After all connections are secure, turn on the BP220 battery and then operate the CPAP machine normally.

CPAP Battery Runtime

CPAP power consumption can vary significantly depending on machine settings and operating conditions. Higher pressure settings, humidification and heated tubing can substantially increase power consumption and reduce battery runtime.

For the longest possible runtime, turn off the humidifier and heated tubing/heater functions when medically appropriate. With the humidifier turned off, the BP220 may power an AirSense 11 for approximately 2–4 nights, depending on settings, usage time and operating conditions. Runtime estimates are approximate and are not guaranteed.

Built-In 5V USB Power

In addition to its main DC output, the BP220 includes a 5V USB port that can be used with compatible USB-powered devices such as smartphones and other small electronics. A USB charging cable for your device is not included.

Important Air Travel Notice

The BP220 has a capacity of 223Wh. This exceeds the battery capacity normally permitted for passenger-carried spare lithium-ion batteries under standard airline passenger rules. Do not assume this battery can be taken aboard a passenger aircraft. Check current airline and applicable transportation regulations before travel.

One-Year Limited Warranty

This product includes a one-year limited warranty covering manufacturing and quality defects. Rechargeable batteries naturally lose some capacity through normal use and aging. Normal capacity reduction caused by battery aging or usage is not considered a manufacturing defect.
