Portable Backup Power for ResMed AirSense 11
The VP250-AS11 provides a convenient way to operate a
ResMed AirSense 11 CPAP machine from battery power.
Simply connect the included AirSense 11 power cable between the battery's
24V DC output and the CPAP machine.
Direct DC power is especially convenient for portable CPAP use because an external
110V AC inverter is not required.
Large 211Wh Capacity for Extended CPAP Runtime
With 211 watt-hours of battery capacity, the VP250 can provide
extended operating time for an AirSense 11. Under favorable conditions, the battery
may provide approximately 2 to 3 nights of CPAP operation when the
humidifier and heated tubing are disabled.
Actual CPAP runtime can vary significantly because the AirSense 11 does not draw a
constant amount of power. Runtime depends on CPAP pressure, breathing pattern,
mask leakage, machine settings, ambient conditions and the use of accessories such
as the humidifier and heated tubing.
Example: If the complete system averages approximately 10W,
a 211Wh battery can provide substantially longer runtime than when the CPAP system
averages 20W or more. Battery conversion losses and operating conditions also affect
the actual usable runtime.
For longer battery runtime, turn off the humidifier and heated tubing when appropriate.
Do not change prescribed therapy pressure or other clinical settings solely to
extend battery runtime unless instructed by your healthcare provider.
Simple AirSense 11 Connection
The package includes the special power cable required to connect the VP250 battery
to a ResMed AirSense 11. Connect the cable to the battery's
24V DC OUT port, then connect the other end to the AirSense 11.

Multiple Ways to Recharge the VP250
1. Charge from AC Wall Power
For normal home charging, connect the included AC charger to the battery's
dedicated DC IN charging port.
2. Optional Vehicle Charging
The VP250 can also be charged from a compatible vehicle power socket using the
appropriate optional BiXPower car charging cable.
The car charger is sold separately and is not included in the standard package.
3. USB-C Charging
The VP250 can also accept compatible charging power through
USB Type-C Port C1. A compatible USB-C charger is optional and
is not included with the standard VP250-AS11 package.
Important Charging Information:
When C1 USB-C charging voltage is 15V or higher, the DC IN charging port is designed
to stop charging automatically. This helps prevent simultaneous high-power charging
through C1 and DC IN from exceeding the battery's charging limits.
Battery Charging and Storage Care
- Allow the battery to cool to normal ambient temperature before charging.
- Use the supplied charger or a compatible charger that meets the battery requirements.
- Charge in a dry, well-ventilated area away from flammable materials.
- Do not charge or use a battery that appears damaged, swollen or abnormal.
- Avoid leaving the battery completely discharged for an extended period.
- For long-term storage, keep the battery partially charged.
- Recharge the battery periodically during storage. Approximately once every three months is recommended.

AirSense 11 Battery Runtime
Battery runtime depends on the AirSense 11 operating conditions and settings.
Factors affecting runtime include CPAP pressure, breathing rate, mask leakage,
ambient conditions, humidifier use and heated tubing.
For example, when the CPAP system averages approximately 10W,
battery runtime can be considerably longer than when the system averages
approximately 20W. These examples are intended only to illustrate
the effect of power consumption and are not guaranteed runtime figures.
For maximum practical battery runtime, the humidifier and heated tubing can be
turned off when appropriate.
Important: Do not reduce prescribed CPAP pressure or change other
therapy settings solely to extend battery runtime unless your healthcare provider
has instructed you to do so.
Air Travel Information
The VP250 has a rated capacity of 211Wh. Because of its capacity,
this battery may not be permitted as a passenger-carried spare lithium-ion battery
on commercial aircraft.
If you need battery power specifically for airline travel, consider a BiXPower
battery configuration using smaller individual battery packs that comply with the
applicable airline and transportation limits.
