Built-In Battery Protection
The battery incorporates a battery management/protection circuit with multiple
protective functions, including:

How to Charge the Battery
The package includes its own AC battery charger. Connect the charger to the
battery's charging port and then connect the charger to a compatible
100V–240V AC power outlet.
Why the 12V Converter Is Important
The battery itself does not directly provide a constant 12V output.
Its raw output changes as the battery charges and discharges. When fully charged,
the battery voltage can be approximately 29.5V. The voltage
gradually decreases during use and eventually reaches the battery's low-voltage
cutoff level.
For this reason, the CP300-12V-S10 package includes a dedicated
high-efficiency DC-to-DC converter. It accepts the battery's
changing voltage and converts it into the
stable regulated 12V DC power required by the compatible
DreamStation machine.

Simple Connection — Battery Power In, Regulated 12V Power Out
Connect the converter's DC input to the battery output. The converter then
regulates the battery's variable voltage and supplies a stable
12V DC output through the DreamStation-compatible power cable.
High Efficiency Helps Preserve Battery Runtime
Power conversion efficiency is especially important when operating equipment
from a battery. Energy consumed by the converter itself is energy that is no
longer available to operate your CPAP machine.
The included converter can achieve efficiency of up to approximately
96% under suitable operating conditions. High conversion
efficiency helps minimize conversion losses and makes better use of the
battery's available energy.

How to Use

CPAP Runtime Depends on Your Settings

For longer battery runtime:
Heated humidifiers and heated tubing can consume substantial additional power.
When medically appropriate and consistent with your equipment instructions,
operating without these heating functions can significantly reduce power
consumption and extend battery runtime.
Because power consumption varies from one user and machine configuration to
another, actual runtime should be tested with your own equipment before relying
on the battery for an extended trip or power outage.
