High-Capacity 320Wh Rechargeable Battery
The BX2494B stores
320Wh of energy,
providing extended operating
time for compatible DC devices.
Its rechargeable lithium-ion
technology offers a practical
alternative to heavier
battery arrangements in
suitable 24V-class systems.

Compact Size and Mountable Battery Holder
The battery measures approximately
268 × 150 × 56mm
(10.5 × 6 × 2.2 inches).
The battery weighs approximately
1.8kg (4.2 lb) without
the holder or
2.2kg (5 lb) with
the holder.
Mounting and Holder Design
The included holder is designed
to be mounted to a suitable
desk, equipment frame or
other supporting surface.
The holder provides a convenient
way to position and support
the battery in compatible
installations.
Installation Reminder:
Mount the holder securely using
hardware appropriate for the
supporting surface and intended
environment. Protect the battery
and wiring against vibration,
impact, moisture and accidental
disconnection.
25.2V Nominal Output – Actual Voltage 20V to 29.7V
The BX2494B is a
24V-class battery,
but its actual nominal
voltage is 25.2V.
When fully charged, the
battery can provide approximately
29.7V DC.
During discharge, voltage
gradually decreases toward
approximately 20V,
where the battery's
protection circuitry may
disconnect the output.
During much of its discharge
cycle, the battery may operate
around 24–26V, depending on
load and state of charge.
Illustrative voltage change
as the battery discharges.
Important Voltage Warning:
The BX2494B does
not supply a
constant regulated 24V output.
Only connect devices designed
to tolerate the complete
20–29.7V DC operating range.
If your equipment requires
a stable 24V supply, use
a properly rated regulated
power solution instead.
10A Continuous and 15A Burst Discharge
The BX2494B supports a maximum
continuous discharge current
of 10A.
It also supports up to
15A burst discharge
for a maximum of 10 minutes,
subject to battery condition,
temperature and operating limits.
Electrical power depends on
both output voltage and
current consumption.
| Illustrative Output |
Calculated DC Power |
| 20V × 10A | 200W |
| 25.2V × 10A | 252W |
| 29.7V × 10A | 297W |
These values illustrate the
relationship between voltage,
current and power. They do not
guarantee a particular motor
rating or continuous output
power at every battery voltage.
For motor-driven equipment,
consider startup current,
controller requirements,
connector ratings and
expected continuous load
before selecting the battery.
Built-In Power Switch and Battery Indicators
The BX2494B includes an
integrated power switch
and LED power-level indicators.
These features make it easier
to control battery output
and check approximate
remaining battery charge.
Always turn off the output
before connecting or
disconnecting equipment
whenever practical.
Charging the BX2494B Battery
The BX2494B includes
a compatible AC battery
charger that operates from
100–240V AC
electrical outlets.
Connect the charger to
the battery's designated
charging port.
The charging connector is
separate from the main
battery power output wires.
Use the supplied charger
or a BiXPower-approved
compatible replacement.
Charging Safety:
Do not connect an arbitrary
power adapter to the battery.
A compatible lithium-ion
charger must regulate the
charging voltage and current
correctly. The battery's
internal protection circuitry
does not replace a proper
external charger.

The battery holder is included
with the standard package.
- 1 × BiXPower BX2494B 320Wh rechargeable battery
- 1 × Mountable battery holder
- 1 × Compatible AC battery charger

Output connection options
are selected when ordering.
Optional Anderson Powerpole
connectors may have an
additional charge.
Choose Your Battery Output Connection
The BX2494B is available
with several output
connection configurations.
Choose the one appropriate
for your equipment.
Option 1 – Standard Bare Wires
The default battery output
uses two bare wires for
connection to compatible
DC equipment.
The red wire is positive (+)
and the black wire is
negative (−).
Bare wires are useful for
custom installations
where properly rated
connectors or terminals
will be installed.
Wiring Safety:
Do not leave exposed
conductors where they
could touch each other
or a conductive surface.
Use appropriate insulation,
strain relief, connectors
and overcurrent protection.
Option 2 – 5.5 × 2.5mm Male Barrel Connector
An optional
5.5mm outside diameter
× 2.5mm inside diameter
male barrel connector
can be installed on the
battery output cable.
This option is intended
for compatible electronic
equipment using the same
physical connector.
Barrel Connector Current Limit:
The battery's 10A
continuous capability
does not mean a 5.5 × 2.5mm
barrel connector can safely
carry 10A continuously.
The connector, cable and
device input must all be
rated for the actual current.
For high-current applications,
consider a more suitable
connector or direct wiring.
Option 3 – Anderson Powerpole Connectors
Optional Anderson Powerpole
connectors provide an
alternative connection
for compatible DC equipment.
This option may be preferable
for applications requiring
frequent connection and
disconnection or a
higher-current connector,
provided the selected
connector series, contacts
and wiring are properly rated.
Select the Anderson
Powerpole connector
option when ordering
if it matches your
equipment requirements.
Typical Applications
The BX2494B is designed
primarily for compatible
electric bicycle and
electric scooter systems.
It may also be used
with other electronic
equipment that accepts
the battery's actual
20–29.7V output range
and stays within
the specified current limits.
- Compatible 24V-class electric bicycles
- Compatible electric scooters
- Portable DC motor applications
- Battery-powered equipment and instruments
- Compatible 24V-class industrial electronics
- Custom rechargeable DC power systems
Always verify the device's
controller voltage range,
maximum operating current,
startup surge, charging
requirements and wiring
before installing the battery.
Need a Constant 24V Output?
Some electronic devices
require a precisely
regulated 24V DC supply.
Because the BX2494B
output varies with
battery charge level,
it may not be suitable
for such equipment
without an additional
DC-to-DC converter.
For applications requiring
constant 24V power,
consider the
BiXPower BP300-24V
regulated-output battery
.
Alternatively, use
a compatible DC-to-DC
converter designed
to accept the battery's
complete input voltage
range and supply the
required regulated output.

passenger-aircraft
battery thresholds.
Do not assume it is
permitted in passenger
baggage.
Commercial shipment
requires compliance
with applicable
lithium-ion battery
transport regulations
and carrier requirements.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the BX2494B a 24V battery?
It is a 24V-class
battery with a nominal
voltage of 25.2V.
Its actual output varies
from approximately
20V to 29.7V.
Does it provide constant 24V DC output?

The battery provides
320Wh of nominal energy,
equivalent to approximately
12.72Ah at 25.2V.
What is the maximum output current?
The maximum continuous
discharge current is 10A.
The battery also supports
up to 15A burst current
for up to 10 minutes,
subject to operating
conditions.
Can I use this battery for an electric scooter?
Yes, if the scooter
controller and motor
system accept the full
20–29.7V range and
the continuous and
startup currents are
within the battery's
rated limits.
Does the battery include a charger?
Yes. The standard
package includes a
compatible AC charger
for 100–240V AC outlets.
